This project in 2013 marked the first time an interactive visitor guide designed specifically for digital devices was published in regional South Australia. The opportunity was embraced by Port Lincoln’s tourism community after we published the previous year’s publication being available online as a “flip book” only.
With a landscape format designed specifically for tablet devices like iPads, the new interactive digital guide allowed creative freedom for tourism businesses. They could include buttons, videos, photo galleries and (most importantly from a marketing perspective) the ability to measure and report on visitor interaction with their adverts.
As a result of this work, Woof Media were a finalist in the Innovation category in the AdvantageSA Business Awards in the same year.
